Adagio Dancing Class

Adagio Dance School was formed in January 2008.

We have Classes in Ballet, Tap, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Jazz Tap, Street and Singing. We have pupils aged 2 to 70, everybody is welcome.

We also have an Adagio Show Team which represents the School in competitions or external shows. All pupils have a chance to audition for the team and the line up changes year by year.

Wirral Tuesday Club

The Wirral Tuesday Club For The Less Able Of The Wirral

We meet every Tuesday (excluding Christmas & New Year) from 7pm - 9pm at the Lauries Centre. There is no limit on disability or age (our present ages range from late twenties to late sixties). The club has been running for approximately 40 years & is run by a committee of volunteers, who do not receive expences or gratuities.

BFHG - Birkenhead Family History Group

Birkenhead Family History Group meets in the Hughes Suite at 2.30pm on the 4th Tuesday afternoon of each month except August and December. We charge £1 admission towards room costs and refreshments.

We are part of the Family History Society of Cheshire, which we encourage people to join, and we exist to offer help and assistance to all who are interested in all aspects of their family history. We have related talks, help desks and offer a wide variety of sources: books, CDs, fiche etc. We do have a computer and fiche machines for the use of our members.

Sinatra Appreciation Society

Meets on the fourth friday of every month at The Lauries Centre.

We have a varied program album of the month (Sinatra of course). The group spotlights our kind of music and on each event we would choose three tracks on any theme, presented by members. On occasions we also have a music quiz, we use rare footage and occasionally have a guest speaker e.g Spencer Leigh and Maureen Walsh from Radio Merseyside plus great company sharing our kind of music. There is no joining/membership fee, just a £2 entrance fee to cover cost.
